Party pump overview
_________________________
Keg beer will make a great addition to your next party – it’s inexpensive compared to bottles and canned beer, and it’s easy to serve! Using a keg pump to pour numerous drinks for your guests will save you time and eliminate the hassle of cleaning up empty bottles after the party is over.
Keg party pumps are generally used with single keg special events such as picnics, backyard BBQ's, beach parties, etc. The hand operated keg pump is the pressure source that forces the beer out of the keg. When using keg pumps, it is important that the beer be consumed within a few hours to avoid contamination when the outside air pumped is into the keg. Bacteria in the air may enter the keg during the course of pumping and will spoil the beer within 8-12 hours.
It is important to take a moment and order the right equipment to ensure you have the right party keg pump to match the keg you’ve purchased. Not all brands of beer use the same type of valve in the keg. Each distinct "system" requires matching the appropriate keg coupler to the keg valve.
